A vibrating feeder uses the eccentric block in the vibrator to rotate and generate centrifugal force, causing the movable parts such as the screen box and vibrator to move in a forced continuous circular or approximate circular motion. The material is continuously thrown along the inclined screen surface with the screening chamber, and is uniformly and continuously delivered to the receiving port.

When the bottom plate moves forward with the material, the material in the silo fills the space inside the machine. When the bottom plate moves backwards, the material on the bottom plate cannot return and is blocked from being discharged, achieving feeding. The feeding amount can be adjusted by changing the amplitude, frequency, and height of the discharge gate of the bottom plate movement. The feeding amount is generally within 40 tons/hour. This type of feeder is suitable for medium and small particle materials, and there are mainly two types: slot type and pendulum type. The bottom plate of the trough feeder is flat and moves back and forth during operation. The bottom plate of the pendulum feeder is curved and hinged on the machine body. The bottom plate swings during operation.

The feeder consists of rotating discs, guide sleeves, and scrapers. The materials in the silo are stacked on a disc with a wear-resistant lining plate through a guide sleeve. The disc rotates and the materials are scraped out by a scraper for feeding. Adjusting the position of the scraper or the height of the guide sleeve can change the feeding amount. The diameter of the disc is generally below 3 meters, and the rotational speed does not exceed 10 revolutions per minute. The disc feeder operates smoothly and reliably, with convenient adjustment of feeding amount and low energy consumption. However, its structure is relatively bulky and suitable for powdery and granular materials with low viscosity.

Some feeders consist of a casing and an impeller. The inlet and outlet ports at the upper and lower ends of the casing are respectively connected to the silo and the receiving equipment. When the impeller rotates around the horizontal axis, the material falls between the various chambers of the impeller and is unloaded into the receiving equipment after rotating half a circle with the impeller. The equalizing pipe can release high pressure from the chamber before entering the material area, so as not to be unable to feed when entering the material area. Changing the impeller speed can adjust the feeding amount. The impeller diameter is generally below 500 millimeters, and the speed does not exceed 45 revolutions per minute. This type of feeder has a relatively simple structure, small external dimensions, light weight, and good airtightness during feeding, making it suitable for small particle and powder materials.

a. When the feeder is used for batching and quantitative feeding, it should be installed horizontally to ensure uniform and stable feeding and prevent material self flow. For continuous feeding of general materials, it can be installed with a downward tilt of 10 °. For sticky materials and materials with high water content, they can be installed with a downward tilt of 15 °.

b. The installed feeder should have a 20mm clearance, horizontal, and flexible connection for the suspension device.

c. Before the air test, all bolts should be tightened once, especially the foundation bolts of vibration electromagnetic. After continuous operation for 3-5 hours, they should be tightened again.

d. During the test drive, both vibration motors must rotate in the opposite direction.

e. During feeding, the stability of amplitude, current, and noise should be regularly checked during operation, and any abnormalities should be promptly stopped for handling.

f. Electromagnetic bearings should be lubricated every 2 months, and during high temperature seasons, lubricating oil should be added once a month.

The feeder should be installed on a fixed foundation according to the prescribed installation method. Before the official operation of the mobile feeder, the wheels should be wedged with triangular wooden blocks or braked with brakes. To avoid walking during work, when multiple feeders are working in parallel, there should be a one meter passage between machines and between machines and walls.

Before using the feeder, it is necessary to check whether all operating parts, tape buckles, and bearing devices are normal, and whether protective equipment is complete. The tension of the tape must be adjusted to a proper degree before starting.

The belt feeder should be started without load. Wait for normal operation before feeding. It is prohibited to feed before driving.

When several feeders are running in series, they should be started in sequence from the discharge end. Only after normal operation can the material be fed in.

When the tape deviates during operation, it should be stopped for adjustment and not forced to use to avoid wear on the edges and increased load.

The working environment and the temperature of the delivered materials shall not exceed 50 ℃ and shall not be lower than -10 ℃. Materials containing acidic or alkaline oils and organic solvent components shall not be transported.

Pedestrians or passengers are prohibited on the conveyor belt.

Before parking, the feeding must be stopped first, and the parking can only be stopped after all the stored materials on the belt are unloaded.

The feeder motor must have good insulation. Do not pull or drag the cable of the mobile feeder randomly. The electric motor should be reliably grounded.

When the belt slips, it is strictly prohibited to pull it with your hands to avoid accidents.

Full time personnel should be familiar with the equipment, comply with the regulations on equipment operation, maintenance, safety and hygiene;

Full time personnel should carefully inspect the equipment before starting work, check whether the bolts in each part are loose, and check for any abnormal situations;

The starting of the vibrating feeder should follow the sequence of the process system, and remember not to start it under load;

During the operation of the feeder, the load condition of the feeder should be checked regularly, feeding should be done appropriately, and the temperature of the bearings should be checked in real time;

After the vibration feeder stops running, the machine surface and the working environment around the feeder should be cleaned in a timely manner.
