 Cause analysis and solutions
The Simmons cone crusher has high lubricating oil temperature during normal startup and operation, which leads to the failure of the equipment to operate normally. There are many reasons for the high lubricating oil temperature. According to the operating environment, fault phenomenon and other actual conditions of the equipment, the author summarizes the reasons and solutions for the high oil temperature as follows:
2.1 Normal oil temperature setting
The recommended temperature alarm setting of the equipment is 60 ℃ .The operating conditions of the equipment are different, and the alarm value depends on the actual situation. In winter and summer, due to the large difference in ambient temperature, the alarm value should be adjusted accordingly. The setting method is to observe and record the return oil temperature for several consecutive days when the crusher operates normally. Once the temperature is stable, the stable temperature plus 6 ℃ is the alarm temperature value. According to the site environment and operating conditions, the normal oil temperature of Simmons cone crusher should be maintained at 38~55 ℃, and the optimal operating temperature should be within the range of 38~46 ℃. If the temperature is too high and the continuous operation will cause equipment accidents such as the crusher's broken bearing and the like to a certain extent.
2.2 Fault condition of high oil temperature and fast temperature rise
The starting temperature of Simmons cone crusher is 35 ℃. After operation, the temperature rises rapidly, rising to more than 60 ℃ for about 2 hours. There is no stable trend. The equipment cannot operate normally. If it continues to start, it will damage the equipment and be forced to stop, seriously affecting production.

2.3 Cause analysis and solutions
Through the inspection and analysis of the disassembly of Simmons cone crusher item by item, the high oil temperature and fast temperature rise are mainly caused by the following reasons:

(1) The oil return pipe is blocked, resulting in poor circulation of lubricating oil, low oil return volume (the normal oil return volume should be more than half a pipe) and high oil temperature. Check whether the oil return pipe is unblocked. If the oil return pipe is blocked by alloy block, find out the source of alloy block, dredge the oil return pipe, and eliminate the factors that affect the high oil temperature.

(2) Check whether the lubricating oil is invalid (the normal service life of lubricating oil is 2000h after the equipment is running and should be replaced). Check and analyze the content and viscosity index of Cu, Fe, moisture and dust in the oil. If the content of Cu and Fe in the oil exceeds the standard, it indicates that there is abnormal wear inside the equipment, such as water and dust in the oil exceed the standard. Find out the cause of water and dust in the oil. If the lubricating oil is dirty or ineffective, replace the lubricating oil in time to eliminate the factors that affect the high oil temperature.

(3) Disassemble and check the contact between the bowl-shaped tile surface and the main shaft body. It is found that the spherical tile has a large contact area and poor contact. Cause analysis: due to the long service life of the main shaft body, the outer edge spherical surface is seriously worn, and has been ground to the lower spherical non-contact surface step, resulting in the contact between the inner edge non-contact ball mill of the body and the bowl-shaped tile, resulting in the rise of oil temperature.

Treatment measure 1: replace the main shaft, scrape and grind the bowl-shaped tile Treatment measure 2: process the inner edge of the bowl-shaped tile to ensure that it does not contact the inner edge of the main shaft body, and scrape and grind the bowl-shaped tile

(4) Disassemble and check the contact between the eccentric sleeve and the main shaft. It is found that the contact between the eccentric sleeve and the main shaft is not good, and there are cracks on the upper part of the eccentric copper sleeve, which is also one of the reasons for the lubricating oil temperature rise. Cause analysis: the eccentric shaft is not well matched with the thrust bearing, resulting in the change of the running track of the eccentric shaft, resulting in poor contact between the eccentric shaft sleeve and the main shaft. Solution: find out the cause of poor contact between the main shaft and the eccentric copper sleeve, grind the contact surface of the copper sleeve, and drill the crack end at the crack to avoid crack propagation.

(5) Disassemble and check the contact between the eccentric shaft and the copper sleeve of the frame, lift out the eccentric shaft, and find that the contact surface of the copper sleeve of the frame is not in good contact. There are cracks on the upper edge of the frame sleeve, the alloy block of the copper sleeve is loose, and the lower end face of the eccentric shaft and the upper end face of the upper thrust bearing are worn.

 The cause analysis is as follows: ① There are foreign matters in the locating hole of the eccentric shaft, and the locating pin is jacked up, resulting in the wear of the locating pin and the wear of the lower end face of the eccentric shaft; ②.The dimension of the lower end face of the eccentric shaft and the positioning position of the upper surface of the thrust bearing are not consistent; ③ The upper thrust bearing is worn on one side, the thrust step surface is too high, and the eccentric copper sleeve is contacted during operation, resulting in wear and heat of the eccentric copper sleeve: this is also the main reason for poor contact between the eccentric sleeve and the main shaft: solutions,

① Clean the foreign matters in the locating hole of the eccentric shaft; ② Machine the lower end face of the eccentric shaft and the thrust bearing to ensure their installation and fit dimensions.
(6) Check the oil pan and find that the spline groove of the thrust bearing on the end cover of the oil pan is worn and worn into a groove. Cause analysis: the spline groove of the oil pan is grinded into a groove, which blocks the lower thrust plate of the thrust bearing, causing the lower thrust plate to jam and tilt, and finally causing the eccentric shaft to tilt, resulting in poor contact between the eccentric shaft and the sleeve, heating, and burning. Treatment measures: replace the oil pan and thrust plate to ensure the smooth operation of the eccentric shaft.
(7) Check and detect the axial movement and radial runout of the transmission shaft. Axial detection method: ① Remove the coupling; ② Fix a dial indicator at the coupling end for monitoring; ③ The coupling end is jacked off, and the pinion side is held with a steel drill. The measured value of displacement is 3.8 mm, which is greater than the standard value (standard 0.8~1.6 mm); Detection method for radial displacement of horizontal shaft: put a dial indicator on the coupling, and then measure its radial displacement with a jack, and the measured value is within the standard range. Cause analysis: the axial displacement is large, resulting in the change of tooth tip clearance. Treatment measures: adjust the adjusting ring or add a gasket at the shaft end of the coupling to ensure that its axial displacement reaches the standard value.
(8) Check and detect the clearance between the eccentric shaft and the horizontal shaft gear tooth top and tooth side. If the clearance does not meet the standard requirements, add or remove shims for adjustment to ensure that the clearance between the top and side of the teeth meets the requirements.
(9) Check the cooling system pipeline and gate valve. Check whether the pipeline is unblocked and whether the gate valve is damaged or blocked to ensure that the cooling system is normal and plays a cooling role.
After the above inspection and thorough treatment item by item, Simmons cone crusher operates normally without any high temperature, fast temperature rise and normal operation.
